Students shine at Performance Assembly

Citipointe Christian College is proud to have one of the leading instrumental music programs in independent schools in Brisbane, ranked according to our 2022 Eisteddfod and Festival results.

Some of our award-winning instrumental music ensembles played at a performance assembly in Secondary. These included:

  • Secondary String Orchestra πŸ’ŽπŸ₯‡
  • Concert Band πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡
  • Jazz Collective πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡
  • Concert Winds πŸ₯ˆπŸ₯ˆ
“This level of consistency and continuity is rarely seen across multiple sections and eisteddfods of instrumental music competition in Brisbane,” said Mr Jared Proellocks, Head of Performance.

“Congratulations to our students on their beautiful and impactful performances. You have displayed your dedication, skill, and passion for music.”

Students achieving their creative potential

Solo performances were given by outstanding students, who are part of the Young Conservatorium program at the Queensland Conservatorium.

Cleo is a vocalist who performs in our ensembles: Bella Voce and Elements. She also has a supporting lead role in our 2023 musical. Kallum is a saxophonist who plays in our instrumental music ensembles: Concert Band, Senior Saxophone Combo, and The Jazz Collective.

Both Cleo and Kallum receive music tuition from our talented tutors who regularly perform around Brisbane.

Through the Academy of the Arts, our students can develop their creative potential. As a Christian school, we believe music can be a form of worship and encourage students to express their faith through creative arts.
