Passing of College Board Chair
We honour Mr Graham Packer, College Board Chair
With sadness, we announce the loss of our College Board Chair, Mr Graham Packer. We express our deepest sympathy to his wife Addie, their children, and extended family.
We honour Mr Packer’s leadership of the College Board spanning three decades, and his contribution to the general mission of Christian education. He was a committed Christian who never wavered in his faith.
In 2021, Mr Packer shared this verse to uplift the College community:
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you.” Ezekiel 36:26-27
Honouring the legacy of Mr Graham Packer
Mr Packer’s principal contribution to our College has been his willingness to utilise his considerable business knowledge in his role as College Board Chair and to effectively support the College leadership team.
His family has a rich Christian heritage, and Packer Leather is a multiple award-winning Queensland family company, where he was International Marketing Director.
Mr Packer has been recognised for his contributions to the broad field of Christian education by being named a Fellow of both Associated Christian Schools and Christian Heritage College.
He served Christian Heritage College (CHC) as a member of the CHC Council, a donor, and, until recently, as Chair of the CHC Council.
Mr Packer was a long-term member of Citipointe Church where he served for many years on its committee of management. His wife Addie joined him in faithful attendance and service to the Church.
Please join us as we pray for the Packer family. May God’s peace comfort Addie and the family in their sadness and loss. May their spirits be uplifted by the promise of heaven.
